Welcome to the website of the AR Consortium. We are relaunching the Consortium and will slowly be building it up over the coming summer.

The AR Consortium is the *first* informal association of corporate ventures and individuals primarily focused on commercial augmented reality technologies and applications.

The AR Consortium is meant to be informal group, primarily on LinkedIn and restricted to professionals and academics that are actively working on advancing the industry or the state of the art.

The goals for the AR Consortium include providing a forum for members to meet, share ideas, and discuss issues facing the industry, networking amongst each other, and fostering dialog for emerging standards, methodologies, and so forth.

The group is *not* an open community for AR, and membership is generally invitation only.

The first generation of companies that formed the AR Consortium in 2009 were: Int13, Laster Technologies, Layar, Metaio, Neogence Enterprises, Ogmento, Tonchidot, Total Immersion, Wikitude, and YDreams
